We are often asked whether or not toothpaste should be used with dentures.

 

It is advisable not to use standard Toothpaste to clean your denture, as toothpaste is abrasive and will harm the surface of your denture. On a daily basis use a soft denture brush and a mild detergent to clean your denture.  Remember to rinse your denture

On a weekly basis soak your denture in a proprietary denture cleaner.  There are many different denture cleaners on the market, readily available from the chemist, supermarket or your Dental Prosthestist
